Systems Engineer:

We’re seeking systems engineers to assist with a growing customer base.  The ideal candidate will have a mixed Linux/Windows background with an emphasis on Linux.  This is not a cubicle job, you will be expected to be out in the field with different clients 80% of your day.

Skills Required:

• able to troubleshoot problems that range from the arcane to the complex.

• have a good understanding of data communications and Internet knowledge including; TCP/IP, routing, tunneling, PPP, ATM, and mobile IP.

• transmission methods including cable modems, DSL, satellite, and wireless.

• proficient with Windows, especially its communications and networking capabilities.

• highly organized to handle large number of simultaneous activities in a very fast paced environment, yet flexible enough to respond quickly to critical issues.

• strong communicator who is skilled in developing and maintaining key professional relationships.

Vocational training or some college preferred.  Strong PC skills using software packages for word processing, presentations, spreadsheet, and databases required.  You should know both Microsoft and Open Source Office Suites.  Requires the ability to exercise independent judgment and reasoning skills.  Business Casual Dress required.  You must be willing to be on-call 24/7 and able to pass a background check and technical field test.
